Welcome to Tadfield Traditions, where everything is handmade with love and great attention to detail. My name is Jessica and I am located in historic New Bedford on the south coast of MA.

and enjoy living simply, surrounded by objects that have that human touch.

My endeavors have included, but aren’t limited to,

sewing, X-stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, latch hooking, rug hooking, quilting, painting, drawing, ceramics, print-making, wood carving, beading, scrap booking, drop spindle spinning, knitting, loom weaving, photography, basket making, paper quilling, button weaving, and most recently wheat weaving and tin punching.

Although I have a BA in photography and a minor in art history, I am predominately self-taught when it comes to craft.

I also produce and direct videos for local bands. And have performed in local theater. And was a bellydancer for a while. And did I mention that I homechooled my kids for 15 years and founded the local homeschool support group that numbered over 400 families when I stepped down?

Yep. Multipotentialite.

I live in historic New Bedford, MA with my husband, one of my two daughters who is now in college, 2 cats named Merry & Pippin, and a dog named Coco. I have a private studio in the Cummings Building above the restaurant, No Problemo.
